FAQs

Are your catalytic converters direct-fit converters?

Yes. Our direct-fit converters are designed to be direct replacements of the OE part. Please be aware that some vehicles previously serviced by muffler shops or installers using non-OE replacements may need some modifications.

What are your direct-fit catalytic converters made of?

Our catalytic converter bodies are stainless steel and all piping is high-grade aluminized steel. Occasionally we will use the same cast iron or stamped steel heads or outlets that the OE suppliers use.

Do your catalytic converters come with gaskets?

Yes, most of our Direct-Fit Converters ship with gaskets if needed.

What should I do if I did not receive gaskets that showed available with the part online?

Please contact us immediately if you suspect you are missing any parts. Please check your shipment carefully because sometimes gaskets are already attached to the flanges with shrink wrap.

Do you sell converters for California Emissions vehicles?

Yes. Please confirm that your vehicle conforms to California Emissions indicated on the vehicle’s emissions ID tag in the engine compartment and specify which state the vehicle is registered in.

How do replacement parts affect my vehicle’s warranty?

The short answer is they don’t.

The long answer? It’s actually against federal law to void a warranty for use of an aftermarket part. The Magnuson-Moss warranty act, enacted in 1975, makes it illegal for auto manufacturers to void a warranty simply because the owner of the vehicle adds an aftermarket product to a vehicle. The law states that unless the manufacturer can prove the problem was caused by an aftermarket part, they have to repair the vehicle.
